Meiqiao(Melanie) Wang

*Meiqiao (Melanie) Wang is an accomplished composer and music educator with a rich academic background. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Composition from the Central Conservatory of Music in China and a Master’s Degree from the Mannes School of Music in New York, where she studied under Professor Huang Ruo. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Composition at Rutgers University.

As the founder of L&M Inspirational Music Center and President of the Rutgers University Asian Classical Music Initiative (RUACMI), Melanie has over 14 years of experience in piano and music teaching. Her mentorship has guided students into prestigious institutions, including the Central Conservatory of Music, Manhattan School of Music, and Mannes School of Music. In 2024, she successfully organized the PRM International Piano Competition in New York, showcasing her commitment to fostering young talent.

Melanie's teaching philosophy combines a rigorous, scientifically-informed approach with engaging methods. She emphasizes early childhood education and incorporates child psychology into her lessons, aiming to inspire a lifelong love of music in her students. Her dedication to music education and her students' success makes her a respected figure in the field.
